Guts and Glory

Not much to say today. Just think that the complexity and blend of form and function in a piano is beautiful and somewhat mind boggling.

Guts

The inner workings of an upright piano.

Not much to say about the photography either. Used a tripod and natural light. The light was diffused by some sheer curtains all along the wall opposite from the piano. I also used a wide-angle 28mm lens.

In post processing, I use the free transform tool to square up the piano. This was made necessary by the perspective distortion of the moderately wide angle lens. Not too much distortion, so the corrections was not to big a deal. I did use guides to help do the alignment. First time I used the tool.
